Rhiannon and Alex, two of our sixth formers, were chosen from students across secondary schools in Gwynedd to attend a writing course at Ty Newydd, the National Writers' Centre of Wales this week. Bangor Rotary Club offers the opportunity for two students each year on their ‘Rotary Supported Creative Writing Course for Young People’, which involves a residential week at Tŷ Newydd near Criccieth. This past week, Rhiannon and Alex worked with other successful applicants and with professional writers across a series of writing workshops, readings, 1:1 tutorials and time to write. They also had time to explore the beauty of the beaches and rivers of the Llyn. Well done on your achievement!
