Students from Years 10 to 13 recently took part in a writing competition. They had to write 200-300 words on their free-time (Yrs 10-11) or on the reasons for drug, alcohol, tobacco abuse in young people (Yrs12-13) including in their text 10 compulsory French words and including a play on words. Among the words were: jeu de mots, quincaillier, queue, année bissextile,souris, yaourt, persil, fuite,actuellement,roman. How many do you know? Many entries showed great imagination in their use of the words and the best essays will be given a prize and public recognition. Watch this space!
