Currently dates and events in the events section are correct for 2007/2008 despite the misleading headlines 2008/2009. We are trying to correct this fault. Meanwhile parents might wish to take advance note of the start of the school year 2008/2009 which will be no later than Thursday 4th September for pupils. - Great Ormond Street - Big Time Rhyme Friday March 8th 2008

St Gerard's is participating in an attempt to break the record for simultaneous reading aloud. This is in conjunction with fund raising for Great Ormond Street Hospital, to which we hope participants will donate. The reading will be an extract from Peter Pan in Scarlet by Geraldine McCaughrean. Some of the royalties from the sale of her book will also go to this cause. Click here to read more
- Shakespeare Festival

A drama group from school, led by members of the Sixth Form, took part in this national event. They presented a performance of 'A Winter's Tale' at Theatre Clwyd on February 26th. Click here to read more
- Nick Smith's Ski Challenge for SCOPE

As many students and parents know, Nick Smith (Yr11) is undertaking a significant ski challenge in March on behalf of SCOPE. He has to have raised £1,500+ before then and I am pleased to say that he is currently very close to achieving his target but could do with a little more help. - Fairtrade Fortnight

On Thursday March 7th the senior school will have a Fairtrade sale at lunchtime. The school supports Fairtrade annually in this way. Items will be on sale for students to purchase. Click here to read more
- Easter Bunny Raffle

A giant chocolate Easter bunny, donated by a parent, will be raffled in the last week of term with some other Easter items. Raffle tickets will be on sale from the end of this week within school and the proceeds will boost Nick Smith's marathon ski on behalf of SCOPE. Click here to read more
