Year 8s found themselves outside the classroom this week, to see if they could identify the many herbs growing around the school. They worked on dissecting some wind and insect pollinating plants first, learnt how to use classification keys and then put this knowledge and new skills to the test to find their allocated herb.
Once they worked in the field and did their research the old-fashioned way, it was time to bring the ‘Picture This’ app to see if AI could confirm their choices.
